Property Description

A little shabby-chic goes a long way in this wonderfully original old Maine cottage. The kitchen has been completely remodeled, and a new full bath on the first floor was added, but otherwise, you’ll be stepping back in time with an old farmhouse dining room set, vintage Old Hickory arm chairs, and lots of quirky wonderfully-worn tables, lamps, and accent chairs throughout. For those who love authentic New England style and enjoy the benefit of a lower price point for a home that sleeps 15, La Bonne Fortune is the place for you. The front porch, which spans the house offers beautiful views of the waves along this three-mile beach. Enjoy a game of croquet or badminton on the large front lawn. On the first floor, just off the living room is a new full bath and a bedroom with a double-bed. Upstairs, there are 6 bedrooms with 2 European-style toilettes, and a full turn-of-the-century bathroom – with the original fixtures, including a clawfoot tub/shower. Two of the ocean-facing rooms have queen beds. A middle room also has a queen bed. One room as 2 double beds, one has 2 twin beds, and the rear corner bedroom upstairs is furnished with just one twin. Please note that there is room for only 6 cars to be parked at the property. The price includes the cost of cleaning as well as the 10% Service Fee. Any additional weeks rented will be discounted by $300.00 per week.
